Ammunition: 1,000 rounds (carbine) 300 rounds (pistol)
Special Requirements: Full or semi-automatic rifle, sling, pistol, holster, 3-5 magazines, wraparound eye and ear protection
Optional Gear: Body armor, gloves, flashlight, baseball style cap, knee & elbow pads
The carbine has many uses to a tactical team member. Used as a containment and intermediate range marksman firearm to an effective entry firearm, the possibilities of the rifle are presented in this course. Students will practice shooting concepts during range live-firing as well as being exposed to entry considerations and rifle retention concepts. Realistic range and time problems encountered by personnel in both urban and rural environments will be stressed. Content covered will include:
